Beach Tents and the Jersey Shore… Perfect together?
Beach tents are pretty much the way to go at the Jersey shore if you are looking for some shade. They’ve stirred up a bit of drama in recent years since families often set them up super early in the day, leave and eventually come back to the beach to enjoy their strategic placement on a busy beach. Fair? That’s not for us to decide but what we do know is that tents like Cool Cabanas make time on the beach more enjoyable for all. They are a single pole umbrella place in the center that is easy to turn into the sand. The sides just get filled with sand and voila- your tent is ready.
Some shore towns have ordinances against beach tents. We recommend checking them out before investing in a tent. However most towns at the shore allow “single pole umbrellas” and the cool cabana fits into this category. They also have to be 10×10 or smaller.
All towns in Long Beach Island except Beach Haven allow cool cabanas on the beach. We will update this post with other shore town info.
