Beautiful Playground At The Jersey Shore

Beautiful Playground At The Jersey Shore

We visited a new playground today on the beach in Manasquan.   The former playground was washed away in Hurricane Sandy.   The playground is in memory of Olivia Engel, one of the 26 students from Sandy Hook Elementary School.   The playground was designed with some of Olivia’s favorite things: the color purple, butterflies, dragonflies  and being on the water with her family. The project was completed by SquanStrong, a Manasquan nonprofit group that organized relief efforts after the superstorm, and  The Sandy Ground: Where Angels Play.

I’ve lived at the beach in Manasquan for several years now. This playground is such a wonderful addition to the community.  It is so nice to see kids playing once again on the beach.  It truly makes you appreciate what you have.

For more information on the playground, here is an article from the APP.
